Change in Slots Holding Time
With effect from 27 Feb 10, customers will be given up to 28 hours to pay for their slots,
up from the current 24 hours. Unpaid slot after this period will be released by the system.
The reason for this is to reduce the number of slots being released between 7am & 8am daily.
This change is to help reduce system load during these period and improve system performance.
Ballot Arrangement from March 2010 Onwards
From March 2010 onwards, the result of the soccer slots ballot will be released at 1pm on the 1st Wednesday of the month. Submission of ballot requests for soccer slots in the following month will be accepted from 1 pm on the 1st Wednesday of the month until the 7th day before the next ballot.
Customers can submit the ballot request on-line or at any SSC booking office. Customers can find out if they are successful in the ballot by checking their Booking History in ICanBook. Successful customers must pay for their successfully balloted slots within 7 days from the 1st Wednesday of the month. Slots not paid by this time and date will be released.
February 2010 Ballot
Successful applicants in the February 2010 Ballot are
required to make payment for all allocated slots by 1 pm on Thursday, 25 Feb 2010. Slots not paid by this time and date will be released.
Further Change to the Opening of School
Sports Halls
The 15 school sports halls have been
rescheduled to open from 1 pm on Monday, 1 Mar 2010. They will be available to
the public for the booking of badminton slots from 6 Mar 2010 onwards. We regret
any inconvenience caused.

New School Fields
From 1 pm on 24 Feb 2010, five school fields
were opened to the public for the booking of soccer slots. These booking slots

Revised Booking Opening Time
for Volleyball Booking at Hougang Sports Hall
From 10 February 2010, the Booking
Opening Time (BOT) for Advance Booking (for booking of 14 days in advance) of
volleyball at Hougang Sports Hall will be changed from 6.45 am to 7.00 am.
Hence, if a user logs in on 10
February 2010 to book a volleyball slot for 24 February 2010, he/she can only
book for the day's slot from 7.00 am onwards instead of the current BOT of 6.45
am.
The iCanBook system is currently experiencing technical issues. Although tests were conducted prior to the launch of the iCanBook system, we will inevitably face other unforeseen circumstances. Please be assured that the system is developed with guest feedback and interest in mind.
The Advanced Search function will not be available from 6 am to 8 am and from 12.30 pm to 2 pm.
We are working to resolve these issues as soon as possible so as to provide a seamless and hassle free booking system for all our guests. We apologise unreservedly for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your patience and kind understanding.
ICanBook was launched on 4th January 2010
@ www.icanbook.com.sg. It is an online
booking portal that allows the public to book facilities (both sports and non-sports),
register for courses and to make payment for the transactions.
The portal is managed by I-Magination Solution Pte Ltd. The Singapore Sports Council
(SSC) is one of the first four government agencies that has subscribed to the portal.
The other three government agencies are the People's Association, National Parks
Board and National Heritage Board.
ICanBook will replace the iBook, which is
the existing online booking system owned by SSC.
The booking rules in ICanBook are largely similar to
the existing booking system, with the exception of the following:
You need to be a verified hirer to book any of the sports facilities managed by
SSC. A verified hirer is a person whose particulars such as name, NRIC and address
have been confirmed by a SSC staff as correctly recorded in the system.
You may verify your particulars at any of the SSC's
booking offices with your NRIC or Passport/FIN Pass (for foreigners) before 13th
December 2009 or after the launch of ICanBook on 4th
January 2010.
Online payment must be made within 24 hours from selecting the available slot(s),
failing which the selected slot(s) will be automatically cancelled and released
by the system.
